Questions

Wednesday, September 14, 2005

Finish reading the Gospels today. It is not the first time i read the Gospels, but heaps of questions are still in my head.
Human are weak, our life is full of sin and full of contradiction. None of us are perfect even we become christain and accept Jesus is the only Savior and Lord in our life. We sin. We cant be as perfect as our Father in heaven.
Jesus said "love your enemies as you love yourself", "you must be perfect just as your Father in heaven is perfect". But if all human are sinful and weak in nature, how can we be perfect and "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind". and if obey is the act of love, then are we able to obey all the commend of God if we are sinners?
We do want to love God wholeheartedly. But how? We cannot just ignore the common belief of this world and act as a "irresponsible" person (in their point of view), which might make them hate christian and they will lost the chances to know more about God. Life is full of contradiction, sometimes I really dont know what is "right" and what is "good".
So?? the questions go on and on......
I remember that one of my christian friends like this scripture: "Do not conform yourselves to the standard of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God -- what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect." Romans12:2
Perhaps there is no correct answer for my question. Contradiction is nearly inevitable throughout our life. We experience the existance of God when He helps us during temptation and uncertainty. And it is the most amazing thing about believing in God. Whenever we are sad and frustrated about life, we can feel God's love from heart and find rest. Pray is the strongest weapon of christian :)
