Plans and risks
Tuesday, November 15, 2005Currently studying the last subject for this exam!! 6days later, my exam is OVER!!!! hehehe
One of the main objectives of this subject (BPA-Business Process Analysis) is to describe the control plans in the business information system. By definition, a control plan is a policy and procedure that is implemented to increase the probability that the organisational control goals are achieved and that the chance of the organisation being exposed to a risk/ business exposure is decreased.
I think what we learnt from BPA is typical to everyone's life. All of us try to reduce our risks by introducing different sort of plans. For example, we study, so that reduces the risk of being unemployed; we save for the rainy day; we make a study plan before exam so that we make the most efficient use of time.... We plan for the future, because we believe a good plan provides some sort of security.
Nevertheless, as a person's ability is limited, we cannot fully plan to overcome all different challenges during life time. Even when we did make a plan, eg. a study plan, how many time can we exactly follow the study plan we have made? How many of you plan to study hard, not skipping from the class, finish all tutorial works on time, etc, in the start of the semester, but end up with absent at least twice a week, finishing assignment at the last minute of the due date, hoping a 'pass' instead of a better result?
Imagine if you met someone in the street came to you and told you, 'if you believe in me, then I will plan everything for you, I will guide you through any difficulty, I will encourage you wheneven you need me, I will always by your side to support you. Because I LOVE YOU.' I guess you would think this guy must be mentally sick and totally foolish, and walk away as fast as you can.
Now imagine if you were a four-year-old child, a man you don't really know who he was came to you and told you, 'if you believe in me, I will give you all the toys you want and all candy you love, I will give you happiness. Because I Love You.' And if you aren't taught that there is "goldfish man" in this world, you probably would go with him and enjoyed the gifts that he promised to give you.
He is Jesus Christ. He gives all treasurable gifts to us simply because He loves the world. Do you believe He is not the "goldfish man", but a wise, kind, and gentle Savior with Love?
For God in his wisdom made it impossible for people to know him by means of their own wisdom. Instead, by means of the so-called "foolish" message we preach, God decided to save those who believe. (1Corinthians 1:21)
