Fear in Love

Do you feel fear when you fall in love? Fear of being betrayed; fear of lies from him/her; fear of breaking his/her promise or he/she breaks his/her promise; fear of losing the love; fear when he/she talks about another boy/girl; fear when he/she doesn't talk about another boy/girl; etc, etc... And I heard my friend's friend fear her boyfriend is a homosexual as she saw this in her dream.

But my question is, should there be fear in love? In my opinion, it's the matter of trust. If you trust him/her with your entire heart and mind, most of the fear do not come up at all. However, there are to many uncertainties in this world. Experience teaches us it is difficult to trust someone wholeheartedly without any fear. Scars in people's heart is not easy to be recovered.

This make me rejoice as a Christian to hear God's love. There is NO fear in God's unconditional love. Because before we loved God, He loved us first. God loves us always not because we love him or we deserve any of His love, but He loved us and chose us to be His children at the beginning of the world. He is such a faithful and loving God that everyone can trust wholeheartedly. He will heal your scars in your heart so that you won't have fear in God's love as true love drives out ALL fear.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. -- 1 John 4:18
